Satellite Arts are very pleased to launch Pop Up Theatre @ The Watershed. There will be two different family shows this autumn. Toy Theatre Tempest on Sunday 22nd October performance starting at 3pm at The Watershed in Slaithwaite. Followed by a Christmas Special – Babushka on Sat 23rd December at 2pm and 4pm. These events are ideal magical experiences for young children and their families. Tickets are £3 for adults and £2 children (children must be accompanied to shows).
Toy Theatre Tempest – Two comical grandparents Grandy and Nana Gee tidy their attic to discover a magical Toy Theatre and a copy of The Tempest by William Shakespeare. They decide to show a delightful short version of the play with magic, puppets and songs.
Babushka – A special seasonal show for children and their families with magic, music, puppets and original songs.Babushka is a charming story from Russia. This version has been especially devised for young children. Our show uses colourful cloth backdrops with magical puppets and props. Original songs and Balalaika tunes enhance the telling of this enchanting tale.
