Singing Workshops, Huddersfield

Singing Workshops

Gill runs a programme of singing workshops, Huddersfield, which are taught following the Natural Voice Practice.

She says: ‘I believe that singing is part of what makes us human. My workshops are open to all – and I foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where people of all experiences of singing can enjoy making music together. I teach a capella songs from a variety of musical genres and cultures. We learn ‘by ear’ and support each other when learning parts. There is no audition process – it is all about singing for the pleasure. For those who want to,  we get involved in singing fundraisers, such as Sing for Water and link into other community arts projects.’

Making Waves:

This is an open singing session focusing on a range of harmony songs. Run on a weekly ‘term’ basis.

Singin’ Slawit:

This open singing session targets those people who are looking for a creative daytime activity. The emphasis is on the health and wellbeing benefits that singing can bring. These sessions are supported by a grant from Community Spirit Charity Shop.
