Celebrating Harold Wilson’s Centenary

Satellite Arts is celebrating Harold Wilson’s Centenary with ‘Wilson 100’

Celebrating Harold Wilson's CenteneryIn March 2016 Harold Wilson would have been 100.

To celebrate his centenary Watershed Workshops have been awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to work with Satellite Arts and mount a community history project focussing on the boyhood of Harold who was born locally in Milnsbridge. We will be working with Royds Hall Community School, which Wilson attended, and Cowlersley and Crow Lane primary schools.

Satellite Arts will be delivering a programme of History Detective research leading onto creating songs and plays with the young people in the schools. Colne Valley community groups and individuals will also be involved.

If you would like to take part in research or performance please get in touch with Gill on 01484 654525 or email: hello@satellitearts.org.uk.
